Entertaining historical fiction
Fans of historical fiction are sure to enjoy this immersive read. Set in the mid 18th century, the story takes place mostly in New York City with side trips to Europe and the area around Halifax and Nova Scotia. The book appears to be well researched and does a great job of capturing the setting and culture of the time. Travel with the characters as they are kidnapped from France and journey to the colonies where they are sold as indentured servants. Journey through several years with them as they overcome adversity, make friends rise above their beginnings and battle their enemies.
