I always love period pieces and this is a fascinating one. The author does everything right, interested characters, detailed and realistic descriptions, not to mention a pace that is thrilling and keeps you engaged throughout. To me, it feels like a story of strength and determination more than anything else – a young woman who is simply not willing to give up, no matter what.
