I love a good historical fiction novel and That Woman is a perfect fit! Sarah and her brother are sold as indentured servants, but Sarah fights for her rights and changes her fate when she stands up to the horrible man she is to work for. I LOVE the main character Sarah and her story. She is a strong female lead that tackles both difficulties and opportunities and rises to the occasion when needed. The story of an indentured servant is also eye-opening and I sympathized for both Sarah and her brother as they suffered deaths in their family, relocation to another continent and everything in-between. The plot started off slow, but the pacing for the rest of the story was good and I remained interested the entire time. The writing is also well-done, and the author shows off his experience by producing an impressive historical novel.
