Good BDSM book, but needs a little more character

I have mixed feelings about ‘he And She’.

Kit Cayman is a fairly regular nobody. He’s never stuck out, never really done much with his life, and is basically going through the motions of life. I can sympathize with Kit a lot, so much so it’s a little depressing at times. Then Kit discovers the joys of pushing his boundaries through his sexual fantasies, specifically BDSM, and he starts to come to life as he explores his fantasies and pushes his boundaries, discovering more about how he came to be the man he at the same time.

The sex scenes are realistic and fairly exciting, and it helps make up for the parts that sometimes dragged a little too much about Kit’s past and indecisiveness. Unfortunately the women he meets are underdone, we learn so much about Kit, but so little about most of his partners it takes away from the overall story with one woman being interchangeable with another. So while I liked his experimentation, it wasn’t as satisfying as I would have liked. Having said that, Kit is a well done character who I could understand and sympathize with. I liked him.

If you like BDSM, exploring and pushing sexual boundaries and reading about a character who is learning about himself, this is a pretty good book, and for the length of the book the price is excellent. But if BDSM isn’t your thing, this probably isn’t the book for you.
