At first glance, specially because of it’s cover, “he & she” might seem like just another 50 shades of gray copycat trying to milk the cow of success it had, but once you get on to read it, it makes you swallow that first impression whole. Wayne Clark did an amazing job with his book, it’s deep and really engaging, and it touches subjects that not a lot of authors dare to touch.
He & she is an exploration of human relationships, how even the most lonely people have the urge to make connections even if it is in an unconventional or even socially frowned-upon way. It is sexual, yes, but not vulgar, it subtly seduces the reader entangling them in a world of unexplored pleasure beyond what one expects.
I was greatly surprised by this novel, could hardly put it down. Recommended for everyone who wants to challenge themselves to read something really new.

This book is a surprise. An excellent surprise. It’s not what I usually read (I say this a lot) having a fondness for mysteries and thrillers. This book had me at the jump and kept me enthralled. The main character is a sad case, is well formed and grows throughout. Let me take that back. He doesn’t grow in the right direction and that’s the main idea. He is stuck, stuck, stuck and can’t get out of his own way. Often, that age-old story line gets tiring, but the author keeps up the electricity by injecting weird sex (natch) which, among the protagonist’s other proclivities and bad choices produces a reader feeling of “Oh, no, not again you dummy. Get your sh*&^ together, man.”
Bad job, bad relationships, bad with money.
It all just works.

A tragic romance that begs the question: Is it better to have lost and loved then to have never loved at all? Sweet and melancholy, He & She follows the fatalistic relationship of middle-aged K and his twenty-something Egyptian Princess. While she unveils his hidden desires–to wear tights, to be spanked and dominated–she also opens K’s eyes and heart to real, true love.
Wayne Clark is a terrific author who writes a story that’s as real as life but as poignant as a good love song. Like a great jazz melody, the novel is sexy and sultry with ups and downs that will leave the reader waiting breathlessly for the next note.
he & She, a must read!

Those who are in constant search for stories that engage us and keep our minds open to explore genres and characters will find this one very attractive and intriguing. Because it is clear from the beginning that it is not a book for everyone. If you want a high quality literary story, deep emotions, characters that find their way to our hearts and a high dose of self knowledge through fetishism, this is your story.
I put fetishism at the bottom of the list because there is where the author put it too. The story does not focus on that only topic. It focuses on the wide range of emotions that accompanies a man with more pictures in his mind than facts in his pockets. It is a beautifully written story, with a steady and accurate pace. The characters are so well structured that we are concerned about their near future.
On the other hand, I felt that this story is intricate and exciting, bringing a deep psychological content but accessible to all levels.. So, I recommend this book if this genre is among your favorites, you must Read it!
